Guest post: Myanmar, Perfect Asian Destination for Families

Myanmar is the largest country in South East Asia. For many, it’s also the most intriguing, having been closed to all except the most intrepid visitors for over 60 years. Traditional culture, stunning scenery and a gentle and friendly people, it is a superb place to visit.

Fully open for business for over seven years now, Myanmar is a perfect Asian destination for families – click here for more details.

The country is packed with highlights, such as the mind boggling Golden Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, the leg rowing fishermen of Inle, and the hundreds of ancient temples scattered on the plains of Bagan, one of the most evocative sights in Asia. Add to this the incredible beaches, trekking, the cascading fields of emerald green rice paddies, and off the beaten track home stays, and you have the best of Asia in one country.

But perhaps the most endearing aspect of any trip to Myanmar is meeting the people. They are friendly, kind, helpful, traditional, and really wish to show their country at its best to visitors. For families especially, it is the incredible people that make Myanmar stand out from so many other destinations!
