More than four weeks into the shutdown, it’s not “business as usual” in our national parks.
Here’s two outstanding Nevada state parks to visit in fall, Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe, and Valley of Fire.
During the government shutdown, national parks are closed, or sort-of-open, but without any park information and limited staff. Fall is the perfect time to explore fabulous state parks throughout the United States. For example, in California eight old-growth redwoods state parks are open, and two state parks to experience desert environments.
