Stuffed animals are great travelers on family trips – they don’t object to weird foods, can stay up late, no teeth to brush or face to wash, are wonderful company when a child goes to sleep in a strange place, kids love them, and they travel free.

At summer’s end, our farmers markets are bursting with fresh picked fruits and vegetables. A family favorite is the Marin Farmers Market in San Rafael. Vendors come from around a large area, this is of the largest farmers markets in California, open year round.

Last Saturday we took a day trip to Napa, county has reopened restaurants, wineries, camping, hotels, regional parks in June.
We shopped at Napa Farmers Market, had lunch outdoors at the Oxbow Public Market, took a hike through Skyline Wilderness Park.
Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) begins this week – celebrations include wishes for good fortune, prosperity, long life and abundance in the coming year. Decorations, food, flowers, performances have special meanings and significance.
