On a recent return visit to Chicago, one of our discoveries was the new Maggie Daley Park, a big hit with families. Located on the lakefront downtown, Maggie Daley Park has a Play Garden, Climbing Wall, ice skating in winter, lots of grass to run around, and picnic tables.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous week on the Oregon coast. Where to find giant green anemones, sea stars and driftwood forts, flip-flop fish and bio-luminescent sea cave, Wizard’s Hat rock formation, a lighthouse operating since 1870 and sand dunes that seem to go on forever.
